Disputed Canada-US oil pipeline work to start in April

A Canadian company on Tuesday said that it plans to start the construction of a pipeline through the Midwest United States despite fierce opposition from environmentalists and some American Indian tribes. Construction is set to begin at the pipeline’s border crossing through Billings, Montana. The Canadian company, that first proposed the project in 2008, says that when completed, over 500,000 barrels of oil will be transported through the pipeline each day.
