Concerns about a shortage of eggs arise in Israel
Across Israel, there are concerns about the shortage of eggs, just days before the Passover Holiday. As a result, the Agriculture Ministry on Monday said that it is aiming to increase supply by extending its quota for duty-free imports by a further 100 million eggs. In addition, the agriculture and finance ministries said they will persuade shipping companies that are challenged by border shutdowns, to change their routes - to enable faster imports.
